I have connected to my wireless router, and get extremely fast web-service but I'm not sure as it's definately WLAN i'm using.
Can anyone tell me how to ensure I am never using 3G web or WAP etc... so as to avoid additional costs.

Thanksalot,
IHTB

if your WLAN is in #1 place on the conection list, it will always be used first when you are at home...

sorry i'm a slight simpleton.. how do i check this?
Under Internet Accounts>Groups 'Internet' is the top connection, and is the only one written in italics.
But my router is not top of the 'Accounts' list and I can't see any way of moving it up.
Cheers, IHTB

inside the group internet, you wlan has to be the number 1 connection, so that the phone always try it first...

i'm pretty confident i'm only using WLAN now, cheers,

finally though, in this picture:

on another thread, it indicates the blue and white oval icon, left of wifi & right of signal bar, is the 3G connection, this has never shown up before, so is it a safe bet to say I've never used 3G internet?

Thank alot for your help,
IHTB

in the conections manager you can see what connection is being used, at any time...

Create a separate group account for WLAN and put only your wlan accounts in this group.

Then go to More and tick 'Show connection dialog' and you should now be able to select the group account every time you start an application which requires internet access.
