At last.........after almost 2 months since the purchase, my Parrot CK3000 car kit is now working in my AUDI A4.

I upgraded my T68i to version R5D007 then discovered that it was not working with the CK3000 control box (CB) which at the time was on version 2.31 – this is a known problem (bluetooth synchronisation problem). I then sent the CB back to the supplier (mobiland.co.uk), who upgraded this to version 2.4 (latest version released by Parrot fairly recently) which resolved the problem. In summary the working combination I have is release R5D007 on T68i and version 2.4 on CK3000.

There are however a few things to note:

1. Sync only happens when you go to the Parrot menu. When you enter the menu, it does a sync then displays the menu options.

2. Word spotting function does not work. This is where you can say a word (such as ‘telephone’) and the kit will mute the stereo and allow you to dial or answer an incoming call. The official word from Parrot regarding this issue is... “The latest SW 2.40 does use the wordspotting with the former mobiles like T39 and T68. For the T68i, the wordspotiing could not be supported,
however we'll make it possible to have it back because we know how important it is or the CK3000 users”

3. The caller ID function does work with v2.4 (if someone calls you, your own voicetag of their name (if recorded) is played back)

The radio mute function is optional. I have actually not connected the mute wire from the CK3000 to my car head unit (AUDI Concert), however the CK3000 still takes over control of the radio’s front speakers and supplies telephone audio through those speakers when needed, and links through the regular radio audio when not in a call.
