Hi all....

need urgent help with my K750i. I am getting nothing displayed on the phone. on restarting a White screen comes up, it vibrates and then the screen just balnks out. I am able 2 use all the functions of the phone as usual... make/rcv a call....use the music player...use fm etc....

On starting the music player the screen illuminates (i.e goes white for some duration and then blanks out) same when i start the FM player.

I need to know whether it is an h/w issue or something related to the s/w as it just suddenly started behaving in this manner [did not drop it anywhere ...]

I have gone thru various forums which talk abt the screen going white and r proposing to reflash the phone...Before trying out any such thing i wud want to know is there any way to isolate h/w s/w issue.

1 - you should try to replace the display driver (all you need is XS++ 3.1 and the original K750 display driver file)

2 - if this doesn't help you should try flashing the phone (again you'll need XS++ 3.1 and the K750s MAIN and FS files)

3 - if this doesn't help neither then its probably a HW problem and you should take your phone to a service

Manndar thanx for the link. But it talks abt the procedure when the phone is completely dead. My phone functions absolutely perfectly ... it only doesn't dosplay anything on the screen.

I believe i will try what unforgiven_s is saying... hope that works..

kindly let me know if there is any thing else i can try

Any signs of display?
Why dont you try flashing, if not then it a hardware problem.

LOL MATE and old good CID36 K750... I used to LOVE this phone (the cid36 w800 also) just because it was VERY easy to mod and repair too

...

hey guys ... thanx for all the support..

The phone has suddenly come back 2 life. The display is now come back to normal ... with intermittent problems. Sometimes the display get a little hazy and the nos. and text on the screen appear as a mirror image.

I think one thing is for sure it aint a hardware issue. I now believe only reinsyalling the display driver shud suffice instead of completing flashing the phone...

I disagree... definitely probably a hardware issue, display drivers don't corrupt themselves unless you replaced it along the way with some "modded" one.

May be rather some loose connection.. open up the phone and give the connection a little tug to see if it's loose.

I have added the new display driver and now everything seems fine.

Thanx a ton guys for ur support.

Also any advice on the joystick problem [the only drawback of the phone]
