Hi All,
Just wanted to know if anyone has bought a handset of the shopping tv channel bid.tv I bought a Nokia 5300 of there over the weekend ok,
not really at the price I would of loved but I managed to sell my Old phone and put that cost towards it.
Anyway I just wanted to see whether anyone here has bought any phone from them in the past and to see if it came locked or unlocked to the network(s)
reason im asking is ive just learn't that Vodafone wont unlock it for me cos it's not from them (Site or Shop) but it is a Vodafone handset strange I know, ive been Quoted £20 for the code thats if they even supply them im told at the eforum..
So now im bemused and if it can't get done for nowt I could be posting it back thats if it isn't already unlocked anyway fingers crossed

Why cant you just take the phone down to your local indy phone shop or market stall? They would do it for a fiver.

if you are looking at unlocksearch.com, then there has been a few complaints on the moneysavingexpert.com forums about them being a scam.

Turns out the phone which I recieved 18th June was unlocked afterall,
it's a sim free handset with a Vodafone Pay as you talk sim card chucked in,
it also came with a Nokia Memory card 256MB would've of liked the 2GB but still can't complain
rest assured guys some of the phones are vanilla from Bid.tv

£52 inc Delivery,
I think thats how they make there money by charging hefty postage lol
btw ive found out they have sent me another out and deducted another £53.50p for this one coming I ain't happy so im just refusing it at the door cos im not paying to send it back GRRR!
the phones ok btw but it's just basic and pretty plasticy,
and with all low key Nokia sliders they have a wobble thing going on,
I updated the firmware on it haven't removed the protective plastics yet,
but it's a intresting phone, nice second MP3 player if my USB breaks
