Hi there, I am looking at what memory would work for the K850i and came across this:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sandi[....]b-Card-microSDHC/dp/B000Q8623U

Would This memory stick work in the K850i?
Also is the price on Amazon good?

Thanks,

Cormac

Yes, it would. I use this brand and card, except that mine is an 8Gb. our phones can handle the theoretic 32Gb card, so if they ever create it and release it, I will be using that card, but until then, I'm stuck with my measly 8Gb. :'(

Cool although I don't actually have it yet.

I was thinking of getting an 8Gb but buying two 4GB's is cheaper, but am I not correct in thinking that 8Gb would run slow, let alone 32GB?

Or does the 8GB run the same as a 2GB?

Thanks

I'll tell you when I get the K850i

Honestly, the only thing that takes a while is when I first insert the card and it is reading the data. Honestly, in my opinion the phone interface is kinda' slow, so I really don't notice anything. It does take a little while to read the card, initially (the 512 M2 card I used read instantaneously), but then again, I do have about 4 gigs worth of data on my 8 Gig, so it's something I've accepted. Honestly, it doesn't seem to slow the phone down at all, in my opinion.

Thanks, you've been very helpful.

I'll look how cheap the 8GB's are just now.

I guess you have the green one? I prefer the blue and grey to be honest.

You can find them for under $50. A lot of the SanDisk ones come with a cool USB adapter, that is extremely small, and in addition, can read M2's as well. The one I linked you to has one of these included.

Edit: Yes, I do have the green one. I'm strongly considering getting the housing for the QuickSilver and the housing for the Blue one and using the black face and back from the QuickSilver, the gray sides from the Blue and the green stripes and keypad from the Green one. I need some more money first though, as the OEM housing costs $40-50 a pop. And I only buy OEM housing.

I don't buy Memory sticks off ebay any more. Since I bought a 4GB Pro Duo for my PSP it was fake and could only handle 2GB and you would have to keep formatting it. The packaging was so convincing though it looked the game even had a shiny silver Official Sony sign. So yeah I refuse to buy memory sticks of ebay as in the past I have not had a good experience. Other stuff off ebay is great though.

I wonder if there t is a way to take off the colour line round the side, I only know about changing the covers. I guess you could and replace it with an other colour. I am sure if you were to use a pink bit of plastic you could start a good business, I am sure there are loads of girls hoping the K850i would be in pink

Actually, I would really like a pink one. Pink's my favorite color (yes, I'm a guy, big deal ), and I have to say that I absolutely LOVE that color pink you showed in that pic).

I do know that there is a way to separate the color strip from the rest, as I've seen it done before (someone took the green one and replaced it with the blue strip. I'm just not quite sure HOW it would be done...).

As for eBay stuff, I know it's bad, but what I did when I got a fake card from eBay was that I took it to a store and complained that it wasn't working, and they replaced it for me. That way I knew that it was genuine. I know it's not quite honest, but the stores overprice you, and it'll just be sent back to the manufacturer, who will learn how the counterfeiters counterfeited their product, which will enable them to make better methods to prevent this from happening as easily.

Did you not need a receipt to get a new one. That's a good idea, thanks

I'm getting the K850i of Friday, can't wait!!!

I was a bit annoyed when I saw the C902, but as I looked into it, I realized how it was not as good, e.g. LED flash, small screen, which is rather stupid to make a small screen just for those quick change buttons Although the LED flash has less glitches I still prefer the proper one, I guess their working on new firmwares for the K850i right?

Actually the K850i has 3 LED's for videoing, can you use them for the photos?

Nope, if you don't have a store receipt, all you can do is exchange it or get store credit. If you do have a receipt, you can get get your money back.

Edit: In addition, as for the eBay thing, they can fake a lot, but when it comes with that little Micro USB reader, I think that is pretty legit. That'll be hard to fake, at the moment.
