Hey everyone,

I have only had my SE C902 a day, and ive noticed that when im listening to music in the media player thing on the phone, and receive a text, the phone slows down to a crawl.

I press a key for a letter, and have to wait a second for it to come on screen, I can type a whole word before it comes on screen.

I have it on O2 and the updater says its got the latest software. Ive done a master reset and used the sony ericsson update software from pc too but its still the same!

I spoke to O2 and they said theres nothing wrong with the phone and its normal speed.... might have to send it back if thats the case.

Any thoughts or ideas?

Thanks

Biff

1st thing ya did wrong was do a master reset. It's not the be all and end all ultimate solution to fixing something. You will have also lost most of the default content, games and demo tour in the entertainment menu if it a full reset you did. First thing you should have done is phoned O2. If you didn't believe them. You could have used the search and read the many threads mentioning this problem which occurs on all A200 platform phones starting from the W910 onwards.Just something you have to live with.

Master reset can solve problem like that...

If that doesn't help, you must search some online flashing client which supports the C920... Or return the phone if it is under warranty to get a free repair

Bloody hell. It's a well known problem that the A200 platform phones have lag when using the media player while connected to a bluetooth device. I have every A200 platform SE phone (including a few as of yet unreleased ones) and they are all running the latest firmware and yes they all have the same lag problem with the media player when connected to a bluetooth and streaming music etc. Only a new optimised firmware will sort the problem out. Not a master reset.

Thanks for all the replies
I'm not too fussed about losing games and things, I dont usually use them anyway, mainly just want to be able to phone, text, listen to music, and the camera, in a reasonable way.

I am using the media player with the wired headphones, so imagine if I did try to use my bluetooth headset that it would be even slower lol!

Ive almost convinced myself to send it back.

Its a really really nice looking phone, and the screen, menus, keys etc are really nice, but the slow down is rediculous, and the camera, indoors, and under low light conditions is much worse than my k810i which I was going to sell...

Anyway thanks for all your help everyone, and have a great weekend!

Biff.
