On p1i buttons there is the symbol ' above the "L" button. I use on screen keyboard I cannot find the exact ' symbol anywhere, even in the more symbols option. I am using Latin and chinese version firmware (latest).

just checked on my P1, and its available (" that is) by pressing the left side of the OK button 3 times, or is on the on screen keyboard under the number 8 after you have switched to 123 mode. the ' character is found using the same mode under the number 9.
you can also access the " character by simply pressing the shift key to bring up capital letter, its then where the number 2 was, i.e. the second button from left on the top screen.
i have a Netherlands spec handset with English as the set language.

All the other ' are curved, even in the more symbols option
. And your number 9 and 8 description is different from mine.

On mine (UK version) it's on the numbers keyboard option (123 3rd from left bottom) and situated just below number 9!

On the w960(world generic), the ' can be found under the 9 in the 123 mode. I'm guessing it would be the same on the P1 as well
