i have a SE K850i.
i bought a 4GB kingston microSD(HC) card and it seems to have some issues.

Card link: http://www.kingston.com/flash/sdhc_micro.asp?id=2

after inserting the card and powering on, the phone reads the card with everything on it. after several minutes (like 2-5 minutes) after stopping using the card (listening to music, videos, etc.), in the "my files" function, and card tab, the phone reports "no files" message...
NOTE: after reinserting the card, the phone sees all the data on it.

and the second issue: while in massive storage mode, i can't access the phone card while in "my computer" (this happens only to microSD cards, as for the M2 everything's ok)

PC configuration: AMD AthlonX2 4400+ ~2.3GHz, 2GB Ram, Asus M2N motherboard, Asus Ati X1550 512MB
OS: WinXP pro X64-edition

the phone's vodafone branded. software version (i hope i get it right) R1CA029.

oh... by the way... i'm the (un)lucky winner to have the "operation failed" error message when it comes to applications and games (i guess it must be the java)

(you gotta "love" branded phones...)

Actually, I strongly believe that this is the phone. With the w810i, I had a memory stick that worked amazingly when I first got the phone. It was official, not a counterfeit. Then after I'd had the phone for about two years, it started giving me those errors. I bought a NEW card, thinking this was it, but it kept glitching. I strongly believe it's the phone. My k850i does the same thing.

Sometimes I use the file manager and I cannot see my memory card. After I remove my memory card and reinsert it, I can see it. It does this every now and then.

Thanks for your interest though...

Still waiting for some ideas... anyone?

Okay, really? Can you really not read your OWN post? Do you not remember what you wrote? You had two issues, the first being the one I was discussing. Ignorance must be bliss, eh?

yeah... I experience the same issue right now, that's why I searching a topic. Lol

My card is exactly the same like you, MicroSDHC Kingston 4GB.

Sometimes the phone can read it sometimes it cannot.
While in the mass storage mode, it restarted itself when we can't write data into the card.

It is possible it's all because MicroSD(HC) ? or it is because of Kingston =p

Oh yeah btw my firmware is R1FA035, and my PC is using Windows XP

As I stated before, it seems like it is an issue with the phone, not the card. I'm sure if you placed it in a REAL card reader, and not an emulated one (the phone), then it would be just fine.

i allways use "homemade" memorycard M2, they works better, (i know K850 take both micro & M2)

ps. here in my hometown M2-cards have become really cheap. (2GB for 17 euro), so its no need to buy micro because of its lower price

you are so positive about your ideas...
you couldn't even admit that it might be an incompatibility case between the SE K850i and Kingston cards...
