It all Started when I tried to change the firmware from my K790i to K810i.
Mine is a CID52 Red phone. I downloaded "K810_R6BC002_MAIN_GENERIC_SM_RED52.mbn" also a Corresponding Europe 1 FS.
Now the Firmware is installed, The Phone boots, but there is no network.
Tried Changing the Network settings to "GSM only", but does not work.
I tried flashing it back to K790i, ASIA_LEVAN firmware. Tried couple of others too (europe). Somehow none seem to work. The phone refuses to boot at all!

This Phone was originally bought in Bangalore, India. The original Firmware it has was R1KG001.

Can anybody please suggest a Firmware which works for this Phone.
Also, the which FS & customization to use, if possible would help

You cannot convert the K790 to K810... It is not 3g phone... You can convert it to K818

Flashing k790 to k800 or k810 damages gdfs. If you haven't a backup of yours so the only way is service center. Backup of other k790 won't help and will kill your phone at all.
P.S. for those who reads this topic : DON'T TRY TO FLASH K790 TO K800,K810!!!

Flash it to k818...

P.s. If you have damaged gdfs and don't have any backup, go to www.topsony.com

There is a tutorial in the forum (tutorials/guides section) about repairing damaged gdfs on a db2020 phone without having it backed up.

Thanks Guys for the Posts!
I tried to repair my GDFS as mentioned in one of the forums.
I used the USB cable, Not the Serial Cruiser one.

Now My Phone is Totally DEAD!!!!
setoollite says GDFS IMEI mismatch.

I cannot get my phone to be detected by XS++.

I have given it to the Service Center, they have told that it will be fixed in 15 days.

Lucky Me! it would get covered under the warranty.

Just Waiting at the moment.

Hello, i also have a dead K790. When i plugged in K790, XS++ asked me to change CID from 51 to 52. After changing CID, i flashed it with K800 firmware and it was working but it couldnt find any network. I then flashed it with K790 firmware but now XS++ gives this error:

03:07:48| Baseband ID: 9900
03:07:48| Protocol Version: 3.1
03:07:49| Warning: IMEI name does not match GDFS name (IMEI:K790 GDFS:K800)
03:07:49| ...using IMEI name

03:07:49| Firmware Version: R8BF003
03:07:49| EROM: R3A016

I dont have any backup of GDFS and phone is not covered under warranty, is there any solution? Please help!

You can only flash a k790 to k818. Now you have flashed back, does the phone work besides the error? If it does then dont worry about it.
