> K850i Too Quiet with Music Player & HPM 70
Bookmark topic
It used to work fine with my W880i, nice and loud. But with this K850i even with the MegaBass turned on and at full volume, it still seems really quiet and lacking some power.
Is there anything i can do?
Cheers x

It's the acoustics the firmware contains doing this... They are regulating the volume and loudness... I latest firmware has loud acoustics, you can update your phone and see if it is better

Mine is on o2 UK running R1EA031. There's no new updates available on SEUS
Is there any news when o2 branded phones will get the latest update?
Cheer x

You can look to debrand it using davanci... then you can install the latest firmware, which should solve your issue.
Cheers

does this mean that HPM-70 is firmware dependent? and i thought its just an (audio) accessory.. if it works in your W880 before, it should also work just as fine with K850 without any firmware changes..
just a thought

You missed it. Completely. The HPM-70 is NOT FirmWare dependent, it is bluetooth dependent. What they are talking about is the VOLUME of the HPM-70, NOT the ability to work with the k850i.

i didn't know that the humble but ever-reliable SE HPM-70 is Bluetooth-capable now

but i do know for a fact that its volume is dependent on the unit it is attached to.. in that case, i guess the issue of firmware-dependency would definitely come into the fore
again, just a thought in "direct relation" to the topic in point...
really sorry for my bad and poor understanding of english that i think i may have inadvertently misunderstood and COMPLETELY MISSED the point of topic.. here's one poor bloke just simply trying to make the thread interesting
cheers, people!
