Hey,
Looking to replace my camera for when I go away, I've narrowed it down to these 3 I think:
http://www.ebuyer.com/product/144619
http://www.ebuyer.com/product/143123
http://www.ebuyer.com/product/141069
Personally, I like the screen size of the 1st one, but the extra features of the 2nd olympus one there.
I've always been a big fan of the canon ixus and own an old one now, I was going to get it but then saw these olympus cameras for cheaper and seem to be better?
The 2nd olympus camera and ixus both have 8mp,
The ixus only has a 3x optical zoom where as the Olympus has a 5x optical zoom.
The 2nd olympus also has a slightly bigger screen.
Overall I prefer the look/screen of the 1st olympus @ £93
Then I prefer the 2nd olympus for it's spec @ £110
Then the Ixus is last for lower spec at £160
But I'm next to useless with camera's, if someone could take a look at them and tell me if they are any good, which one gives the best for the price, or recommend me a different model (no fat kodak ones, there they kinda bubble out on the right).
Thanks
EDIT:
A nice comparison here:

I'd say go for either that second Olympus, or pay the bit extra and get the Ixus. The Ixus has proper optical image stabilisation which you'll be glad of in low light situations where you either can't use the flash or it's effects would be useless. I think it has more manual control too, i.e. aperture priority, shutter priority etc. which means you can be more creative with your photos.
If you're not too bothered about image stabilisation or manual controls, and if price is a factor that second Olympus would be fine, think it's weatherproof too!

For me from camera experience i would go for Canon. Its obviously your personal choice. I have had 2 Olympus cameras in the past and dont like them Canon always better quality features and lenses and picture quality is far better. You also get proper quality glass lenses with Canon plus you got the option of view finder. Always handy.

Cheers guys,
I decided on the Olympus for specs/price, but after reading some reviews they all say the same, canon ixus is really good quality and to be honest I'd only get the olympus and wish I'd gone for an ixus.
So guess I'll keep looking around for an ixus then.
They have a great one half price at argos, from £300+ to £160 odd......out of stock everywhere though
is this in stock near any of you

Thank You for your help nice 1

Yer when I was looking around the only makes I look for really are:
Canon
Casio
Olympus
One's i'm not to keen on usually because of their size/style:
Kodac
Samsung
Don't really touch other makes.
I'm asking on another forum, I'm currently torn between these 2 now:
That Olympus:
http://www.ebuyer.com/product/143123/show_product_overview
And
A canon ixus 950:
http://www.canon.co.uk/for_ho[....]/Digital_IXUS_950_IS/index.asp
The ixus 950 is going to be around £50-60 more at around £160.......is it worth it?
People on another forum are saying to go for the Olympus, they say it has a better zoom and for the price the specs are good.
If you compare them....there's no reason to pay £50 more and go for the Ixus is there?
I will save up and pay more and go for the Ixus if someone can point out why it's a better camera then the Olympus.
What one would you guys go for out of the £160 Canon Ixus 950
Or the Olympus MJU 840.
Thanks
