I'm thinking of using MightyPhone (banner at the top of Esato) to back-up the data on my T68.

I'm not v. technically efficient (no data cable, bluetooth, ir capabilities) but from reading what they have to offer, it would appear to be the perfect solution for me.

Does anyone have any experience of this service or views as to whether its a good solution?

Cheers.

Yes, I recall reading about the problems you had - trust everything is now OK and the culprit has been dealt with!

-Did you find it particularly complicated to use... or put another way, would a novice experience problems setting it up?

Patchy - I guess you are referring to my posts in the 'RIP Esato' thread?!

If so, Yes. I own, and to various degrees, run several companies:

1. A UK database company - specilizing in acquiring and selling data on individuals for marketing purposes.
2. An affinity marketing business - specilizing in setting up joint ventures (usually involving direct mail, but not exclusively). Hence, my original interest in Esato... we used to organise mobile phone deals between one of the UK's largest retailers and appropriate magazines and websites.
3. A think tank company - basically aimed at creative problem solving for small/medium sized businesses.
-Also, dabble in commercial property.

...Infact, our contribution to what you call 'junk mail' is for the benefit for everyone. By selling info on individuals to mailing companies, they can target the right people to take up their offers. This in turn keeps their cost of acquisition for new customers low... which means lower costs for the consumer. Thus 'junk mail' = good for the consumer.

No, never deal with spam.

How negative of me to think that the need get the best deal for the customer would`nt be your highest priority. just remember that if we had everything the moment we needed it we would probably all die of bordem. I`ve been to some huge information storage companies in the UK & i`m sure it`s a massive industry. my shoe size is in there somewhere.
PS i always give false information when giving personal info out, i wonder how many others do......my shoe size is 345 by the way.
