I thought I would post, since I didnt find any thread specifically addressing this issue, and happened on a solution.
This is my favorite camera, but has recently malfunctioned- the camera button will not take a picture. After reading this and other sites, and a lot of fiddling with buttons, I discovered a workaround. If you depress the 6 button at the same time as the malfunctioning camera button, it works. Dont ask me why, I am just delighted to get me camera working again!
Any ideas why this should work?
Any better ideas to fix the main problem?

May be software issue... Try master resetting the phone and see if it works... If not, flash your phone firmware with this tutorial:

That would solve any software issues (if they are)... If it is hardware, the best option is to send the phone to service center (if it is still under warranty) so they can solve your problem...
