On the advice of others here I chose this camera, the Canon Ixus 950 / Powershot SD850

Was out and about playing with the different settings, here's some pics I took:

Some cat who looks worse for ware which we've been feeding out back, can't let him near the house though as my cat would, well..kill it, look how small and scrawny it is bless it:

(The white stuff is milk)

Here's some good examples of the difference between ISO 80 and ISO 1600:

ISO 1600: http://www.halfempty.co.uk/robin/canon/Example/IMG_0038.JPG

ISO 80: http://www.halfempty.co.uk/robin/canon/Example/IMG_0037.JPG

ISO 1600: http://www.halfempty.co.uk/robin/canon/Example/IMG_0047.JPG

ISO 80: http://www.halfempty.co.uk/robin/canon/Example/IMG_0048.JPG

Quite a big difference in quality.

Also here's a few vids I took on the camera, the quality of the video I thought was just amazing, I have it set to 30fps.

Overall, very impressed, some of the pictures are very crisp and clear in my opinion, the video is very good quality for a camera and I had it on for around 40mins and the battery is fine....I'm used to my old camera dying after 10mins.

Any creative criticism?

Thanks

No criticism, but the real fun is motorsport seriously!
Get your arse to a racetrack!
I did these on a point and shoot with no viewfinder, only the screen:

DTM is at Brands Hatch soon, £25 entry.
