i've owned my phone for around 21 months. i have been having problems with the phone software ever since. it got hanged once and then they fixed it fine, but after that the flash and camera stopped working.. but the authorised center in my city ripped me too. the flash worked for 3-4 days and then stopped working. even the camera doesnt seem to be working all the time. it took me more than a week to get the phone back when i gave it for servicing and i had a very poor experience.

the problem that i am facing now is that key number 5 and 0, and the power up button dont seem to be working. along with that the middle key in the dpad is also not responding. for the two problems are interconnected coz this happened at the same time. how do i fix it? Can it be a software problem. I had a very poor experience with the service center and i am ready to risk opening it myself but i dont want to go to that service center ever again.
i'd also like to add that i've been playing too many games on my mobile lately so that could be a reason. if its a sw glitch can i try for a firmware upgrade?
thanks!!

Well it may be hardware, but it may be a software problem aswell...

You can check if it is the phone's firmware (software) causing the problem. Try doing master reset on the phone and see if that solves any of your problems. If not, you can try flashing the phone's firmware using this tutorial:

and download free firmware for your phone from www.4shared.com

Maybe you are right... But in my opinion, you don't lose anything to check the software first, right?

Why could'nt you open my flashing tutorial??? I checked the link to it and it works.

Anyway, it may be a hardware problem as said above.

if the problem, like in this case, is not just the number keys but also the dpad and power button, can replacing the keypad solve ALL these problem? i mean, are they all interconnected with the keypad IC?
