Hi I currenly have a K800i and was looking at getting a K850i. Is there much of a difference between the two phones and are the menus the same? I am talking about the Caller ID feature. On the K800i when someone sends you a text message the Caller ID Photo comes up of whoever is texting you I was wondering does this occur on the k850i also?

I don't know about the called ID exactly.. It should be the same in my opinion as phones does not differ each other much in interface... In other features the K850 is better than the K800... It has accelometer, bigger screen, better camera, flash themes, walkman 3, better sound, new platform, but it also has more bugs as it is still new model... So if you buy it you may experience some bugs which will be fixed within the next firmware updates, of course...

What bugs are we talking about I didn't know they existed on phones??? Does that mean the K800i has them too? What is an accelometer?

no. k850 is on a new platform(DB3150) and the k800 is DB2020. most of bugs in k850 are original of this platform.

K800 had bugs when it was new release too.. But with time, they were fixed by firmware updates provided by . Today the K850 (and it's platform DB3150) is the buggy one, as the other DB3150 phones aswell (not all imo)...

P.S. Accelometer is a sensor built in the phone (K850 for example) which allows you to rotate the screen when the phone is turned in landscape position, or change tracks in media player by shaking the phone and etc...

My K800 does not show the contact photo if I receive a text message from them. How do you turn this on?

Find the contact you want to apply a photo to, go to More/edit contact

find the contact photo option, and then add the photo you want to show when that contact calls you. Then save the contact changes you made.

Next time when that contact is calling you, the photo you set there should appear

Seems that you love your K850 to bits . Anyway, it's menu icons are bigger just about the size of the display and they look better at first sight just because of the display (again) it's colors, brightness and contrast adjustments .

Yes their picture comes up when they call me but not when they send a SMS. I used to have this on S700 but it is not on my K800 or K850
