> Clearing the SMS list on the P1
Bookmark topic
Hi Everyone,
I just got the P1 and was wondering if there is a way to clear the contact names for the recently sent sms list.
I could do this easily on my old K series phone by just pressing C, but I can't seem to figure out how to do it on the P1.

Did you try the "backspace" key?

You can't do it on SE's Symbian phones.

It's not even possible to click on the back key once I click on the Create a New SMS I get to click Edit Contacts and More.
Once I click on Contacts, it shows me the list if I click on any of the name it's selects and moves to the main screen for me to type my message.
How about any software to do delete the list instead

Navigate to the desired contact using the jog dial, then use the backspace key... This kind of procedure used to work on my old K800.

Thanks everyone for all the help you are giving me.
I tried using the jog dial and the back key, it works on the Contacts page but not for the list of names that i recently sent sms'es to.

Hi,
If you want to avoid this list to grow, make a SMS from the address in the address book (look up the contact in the address book -> Plus (most right soft button) -> create message -> SMS) and don't go looking for them from the SMS application.
I had the same problem and that's how I now write my SMS's. Seems like these addresses disappear in time because I've got only one left that I use most.
Enjoy the P1i
