I have 90% of my contacts with 4-5 numbers. When i get an SMS, it only shows the name, but not the number and there seems to be no way to find out. How do i tell?

tap the sender name, then Call sender. your phone will display an icon (either mobile phone or telephone) before the sender name. impractical, yes.

Irritating! I've had to live with it on my P910i for over three years now.

call the sender then cancel the call and edit the number that is the best way for this in uiq3... Which is better in uiq2 because it shows the nubmer of the sender..

Yeah, it's somewhere down on the wishlist SE reminds us they will ignore for all time.
(Fast forward to 2080): "Glorshpook! My nanokonflagratiator optical nerve interface doesn't display the incoming LIIS global ID device string, so I can't tell where someone is koopling me from! Farking Sony NookissonSung engineers!
reply: *eeep* jah, I told their customer insupport department about it seventy years ago. It was a rainy day, just like the day before yesterday, when my shoes got wet. Wet shoes. Can you believe that my shoes got wet, and the soles dissolved because of the acid rain. Not like in my day..
another reply: well, we just have to wait for the p7 interface module - they'll fix everything then!
yet another reply: breaking news! Chief konglomator Chinpoko just announced the p7 was cancelled so as not to interfere with the new pollen- based and advertisement driven news- service! (buy viagra!)"
