Yesterday my dad complained about not being able to access the internet (Virgin), so I went around, and sure enough he couldn't access it.

I tried mine when I got home, and it was fine. When the pc was about to be switched off there was a windows update ready to be installed, which it did before the pc shut down.

This morning I couldn't access the internet either, strange I thought. So I asked my dad if he had done any updates yesterday, to which he replied yes (windows update)

I have now done system restore on both pc's and they are working ok. The update is now showing as ready to update, but I am not going to yet.

Should this type of thing be reported anywhere, and has anyone else experienced this.

I do yes. I am not going to turn mine to medium though, I will just leave the update, until they have sorted it.

Virgin's service has been on and off over the past couple of weeks. It's a crap service provider!

I've had to get rid of the xp update twice as it is giving me problems, can see it sitting and waiting to install, after reading this it wont get a 3rd chance.
