The Project SailFin and Ericsson Service Development Studio (SDS) Application Competition is designed to award the best IMS client-server application using Project SailFin and Ericsson Service Development Studio. Prizes will be awarded to those who submit the best entries as determined by the judges in accordance with these Official Rules. The grand prize winner will receive US$5,000, and two second place winners will receive a Sony Ericsson W760 phone.†
Project SailFin is a subproject under GlassFish. It adds the Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) servlet container based on JSR 289 to the GlassFish application server. In addition to the SIP servlet container, SailFin also aims to provide high availability of the SIP servlet container and a loadbalancer for both SIP and HTTP traffic. Given the functionality, the SailFin codebase requires GlassFish as its underlying runtime. The web container from GlassFish and the SIP servlet container become the converged container that is typical of the SIP application servers based on JSR 289.
Using SailFin will allow you to enhance your application with the functionality and reliability of a telecommunications network. Create a better user experience by adding, for example, client presence information (online, busy, mobile-only, PC-only, etc.).
Learn more about how to take advantage of these features by using Ericsson's Service Development Studio.
Hurry! Try SailFin and SDS for a chance to win US$5,000. This contest ends on September 30, 2008. Submit your entry today.
