hi there...
i just wanna know about the WAP service...Is it usefull ???....i mean what is the features that i will get by useing it or what can i do with it....???? And what is the diffrence between the WAP & the GPRS ????

wap = wireless application protocol
- this is the protocol which mobile phones use to access the mobile internet
gprs = general radio packet service
- this is a protocol which enables phones to be "always connected" to the wireless internet unlike common wap which uses a dial up access to a wap provider. this usually results in fast access speed.
wap + gprs greatly enhances the wireless internet experience

Wap is great for when your \"on the move\". You can go online to check this forum like i am now, you can check your emails and download pictures and tones. Gprs is a quick version of wap basicly, you get charged for the data used rather than the time spent on it. This post was posted from a T300

I use it mainly to have something to do when i'm on the bus or in the car (as a passenger ;-)). The difference if you use gprs is that you pay for the data you download and not for the time you are connected and it's usually faster. This post was posted from a T68i

With your T68i can also surf WAP 2.0 websites including xhtml, chtml and i-mode.

Nokia phones can't I can tell you that.

And with GPRS u wont use all ur mins up if ur on a contract,oh,and u can take ur time with GPRS,like when u post on Esato :-D aaaaaahh,shall i post now or after the kettle has boiled :-D .............................mmm...nice cup of tea that is! :-D LoL This post was posted from a T68i

Wap is very useful. I have used 30 hours in a month and a half. There is loads to do and there are even chatrooms. I have spent most of the time downloading pictures and screensavers. This post was posted from a T68i
