> How to master reset K700 without using menu

I found my old K700i in a drawer and decided to test if it still works. Unfortunately, it does not do that properly. I inserted a SIM card, and turned on the power switch. Amazingly, the battery indicator showed about 80%, so that was not a problem, but the phone freezes after a few key presses. I have managed to enter a phone number and start a call, and I managed to enter the 12-icon desktop menu, but after that, it locks upp and nothing happens when I press any button, removing the battery is the only way to breakr the lockup. Is there any way to initiate amaster reset of the phone without having to navigate through the menus to the master reset option? I think that the joystick may be faulty too, so it's very difficult to navigate through the menus, and the 10-20 times I have ran through the frustrating cycle remove battery-insert it again-turn on phone-enter pincode-operate the joystick has failed with a phone lockup so far. I imagine leaving the phone to a repair center is not worth the money, so is the waste bin the final end for this otherwise very fine phone? Sad ending of the story, if that's the case.
