For my birthday my mum is paying for me, my sister and brother to go to america for 18 days and do all the parks etc.
We are giving her a small amount of money towards the cost of the trip (eg we'll just pay £450 for the flight tickets or something).
I'm going to be there for my birthday (nov 20) again which is kool (was there for my bday a few years back)
Anyway, I thought, she's taking me there for my bday, I want to do something special for her.
Last 2 times we went she wanted to see La Nouba - Cirque du Soleil
When we went with our friends, they all went to see it but my tight ass dad wouldn't let my mum, said it costs to much.
As we were watching a DVD about Disney today, Crique du soleil came on and she said she'd love to see it again, it's amazing but the prices are way too high for her.
So I came up and tried to get the best possible, after an hour of playing around with times and dates, I managed to get 2 of the best seats in the house:
Cat 1
Section 103 (front middle)
Row A
Seats 8 and 9
Almost slap bang in the front middle of the whole thing.
Stupid site only gives you 10mins to buy the seats too which pressured me in to it.
So although my bank balance is now at a healthy £3.98, I think she'll be very happy!
My sister is buying the 2nd ticket from me for £60, so will get that back.
Now I have to wait till October 21st to give it to her, too long to wait lol.

Surely if its your birthday, you shouldn't have to pay anything towards the cost of the holiday, as you brother and sister are getting the same as you.
Nice seats though, and I'm sure your mum will enjoy it.

Nono, me and my sister are going to be 21, so we said we'd like to pay for 1 thing as she's spending thousands which seeing as we both live here rent free, free food etc we feel we really should.
We're old enough to pay.
My brother is 12, so obviously he won't even be asked to pay a penny and rightly so.
It is a bday present ye, but obviously I don't expect her to spend £450 odd on seats, 1k on villa, 300 on tickets, then buy me food, car rental, petrol, parking fee;s etc etc lol.
I can't wait to show her the tickets in October and say, you'll be sitting there, front centre
Hey it really does feel better to give than receive, who would of thought it
Every year it's the same thing from me, chocolates and a card.
My sister is taking her to a west end show, so chocolates seemed a bit cheap-ass lol.
Anyone seen this then?
Are the seats any good or are they going to break their necks looking up at the stage from sitting so close?
I did read around and people were saying that sometimes they interact with the audience and they tend to only do it with the front centre seats....So you get what you pay for.
They also said that cat 2 and 3 seats were so far away you could barely see anything and wasn't a good experience so didn't want to touch them tickets.
Now, just hoping my mum doesn't come home 1 day and say she's treated herself to a ticket!
I wonder how long delivery will take, they haven't said, they just said I can pick them up for free or pay $10 for del, which I did, it says they will be del, but no idea of a time estimate.

They are the dates that the show is NOT on mate, it's on pretty much every other day, you select a date from their calendar, dates that they aren't showing are blanked out.
La Nouba will NOT be presented on the following dates in 2008:
* January 22 to 26
* March 25
* May 20 to 24
* May 27 to 31
* July 29
* September 23 to 27
* November 18

I saw it a couple of years ago and was in the front row in the cat 1 section on the left. It was an amazing show and being on the front row everything is basically happening a metre or two from your face!
It was a little annoying when they did the high swing and ropes stuff cos you have to bend your neck a lot, but that is only a small part of the show, most of it is done on the stage so you dont have to crane your neck for too long.
Its a brilliant show and looking at the price of the tickets the performers must get a big wodge of cash after every show!
