How do let my Laptop with windows XP with an infra red port recognise my t300 so I can start sending and recieving files toi and fro both devices?
Do i need any SE software or do i need to configure anything in my laptop.

If you right click on a picture or any file and goto \"send to\" have you got the infra red option, if you have you can just send files like that

Look for threads on the memory issue with T300 - you'll find tips on freeing up the memory (and removing the preinstalled pictures etc.)

I hate to say this, but please use LOGIC. I would put the steps here:
Send files from your Laptop w/ Win XP to phone:
1. Enable Infrared Port on laptop AND your T300 and align your phone's infrared port with the infrared port on your laptop, as close as possible.
2. Win XP should detect your phone
3. Let it automatically install the software
4. on the tray icons, there is one icon which represents infrared
5. Click on it, choose file, send file
6. Voila, your phone detects a incoming file, click yes to accept
