Restore your GDFS (which you should have backedup before you flashed your phone)

Connect your phone to XS++
Copy everything you have at the log screen and post it here, coz we need to know what firmware you have and other details.

I had faced the same problem previously and so I may be able to help!

So i see you have k790 R1KG001 firmware.

Cant tell whether you have corrupted your gdfs or not.
Anyway you are lucky that I have the same exact log screen on my K790 and yes I am not a fool. I have a full-fledged GDFS backed up of my phone as well. Or you can download from the net.

So If you have done it no probs, you can use my gdfs.

What to do:

1.Register at topse.ru (Firmware site). Click here: http://topse.ru/registration_eng.html

2.Go to TopSE and login.

3.Click here to download the MAIN ( http://www.topse.ru/forum/loc[....]p?action=jump&catid=112&id=424 ). Save it to a folder.

4.Click here to download the FS ( http://www.topse.ru/forum/loc[....]p?action=jump&catid=112&id=423 )

5.Click here to download the CUSTPACK ( http://www.topse.ru/forum/loc[....]hp?action=jump&catid=99&id=392 )

6.Click here to download the GDFS ( http://topse.ru/index.php?do=files&op=showfile&lid=5030 )

7.Extract all archives. In GDFS folder, delete all files except the K790_GDFS.bin.

8.Hope you are not a noob (Since you have managed to make your phone dead). Use XS++ or SETool Lite to flash with the things supplied.

I would recommend you to go through the tutorial: (courtesy akshayy)

Restoring the GDFS (Writing GDFS)

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Don’t Write GDFS simply just because something happened and your phone is not starting. Its written only if gdfs is corrupt.

If your phone for some reason behaves abnormally and fails to start and you get a white screen of death when you try to start your phone, then its time to restore the backup of the gdfs you had made. In case you have not made a backup of gdfs then there is no way to fix the phone , In such a case Contact Me.

Go through the GDFS Backup Post once if you have not read it.

Do Not Unnecessarily write a GDFS if your phone is working good.

VERY IMPORTANT: Your phone GDFS is unique to your phone. Writing a GDFS from any other phone will permanently damage your phone beyond repair. You must always write a gdfs that came from your very own handset. Lets say you have a w610i and you try to restore a gdfs that came from your friends w610i then your phone is in big trouble. Hence make sure that the GDFS that your writing is your own GDFS.

Download XS++

Charge your phone battery to 100%

Click connect phone in XS++
Shutdown and reinsert battery
Connect Phone holding C
In Configuration Select GDFS.
Select the gdfs to restore. Click Write GDFS.

Reinsert battery Start Phone.
Your phone must now work flawlessly

___________________________________________________________

SE phone Firmware has two parts.
Main Firmware which contains all the phone software. Main firmware file has the .mbn extension.
FS is a firmware which has settings and all other data like the default Images and Ringtones and all other files that is used by phone. It has .fbn file extension.

Before you flash the main firmware make GDFS BACKUP. GDFS backup is very important and not to be missed. You also need to have USB Flash Drivers Installed.

I tell you one thing- if they find out the firmware flashed (currently) is k818, then they will not repair it. Read your warranty manual carefully (the guide's last warranty section).
But most of the time they are 'gadhdhes' (HO HO HA HA HO HO). And another thing I know is that if you have rotten your gdfs then they will probably wont be able to detect it and then they will send to the factory and there also they wont detect it (max chance) (its India you know) and after about 20 (more or less), the will replace it with only the cover intact (They will replace the internal circuit). Your IMEI will change too.

After that you can start modding too.

@bishshoy007

i have the exact same problem, i tried to add number1's camera drivers and put the en.lng pack in the wrong location and then tried to put a new firmware to get the proper language back but failed.

i guess i got the wrong pack installed in my k790i. I had saved the GDFS but the fool that I am I restored again with the wrong pack.

I have downloaded all ur files, but I dont think I have my GDFS, please help me out.

P.S: It gives the following error: Configuration error, please contact network operator for information. I guess the problem is coz i didnt put the custom pack. So can I just use ur firmware files and custom pack to restore my beloved phone???

Thnx in advance.
