Ok...

I assume you have a router/modem between your PC and your ADSL line, right?

Well, the router should have a DHCP server built in so it can assign an IP addres to your PC, and provide a default gateway address so it can connect to the outside world.

So, just check you TCP/IP network settings and see if

Just:
- go to Network Settings
- Select your connection (could be Local Area Connection)
- Right click it and select Properties.
- Select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and click properties
- select "obtain an ip address automatically"
- select "obtain DNS server address automatically"

Confirm every window and post the results here.
You might try to right click in you "Local Area Connection" icon and click "Repair" afterwards (so we are sure it assumes the new settings).

[EDIT]

I've just seen that you seem to have everything "automatic" already, so it should be a router/modem issue...

What brand/model is you router/modem?
