I know only SE P900, P910, P990, P1, M600 and W960 - none has built in GPS. Are there other models possibly from other manufacturers to choose for upgrade of my P900?

Why tie youself with built-in GPS?
I use a tiny TomTom BT reciever with my W960i which is perfect as you usually get lower battery life using built-in GPS while my TomTom one is 10 hour plus. Some cars really reduce signal quality due to shielding in the windscreen which is no problem with the TomTom as it can sit on back parcel shelf.

Take your pick from a number of Windows Mobile Pro powered phones with GPS, like the Tytn II, Touch Cruise, or Touch Diamond from HTC. They're all touchscreen and similar in many ways to the UIQ you know. The Tytn II (which I have) even has a jog dial, albeit without the back and forward motion of the P900.
I wouldn't recommend any of the current crop of UIQ3 phones, they're a poor upgrade to UIQ2, and the main reason why UIQ has now been all but killed off. There are no UIQ phones with internal GPS, and the only planned model was recently cancelled. In any case, none of the current crop have screens really big enough for in-car use, even if you can bluetooth them.

I can use both my P990 and P1 for navigation. The P1 has the advantage of having more memory and I can run Garmin, TomTom and Sygic Drive on it.
I also do not like internal GPS due to battery and reception problems but can see it could come in handy at times, provided it's used for a short time.

I wouldn't recommend any of the ones you wrote above. From GPS point of view they all have one major flaw (and of course, yours doesn't have this flaw): most of the times when you use GPS and the phone rings, the phone freezes. This is not for one model or one phone,i've had the chance of using the above+HTC P3300. So, there is no perfect gadget, not even UIQ.
