Hi all

I currently own a K850i and have really enjoyed getting the most out of it.

I recently acquired a HPM90 headset (the one with the OLED) but have been having a few problems with it.

For example:
I have to turn off my phone and turn it back on then plugged it in for it too work.
While music will play through the headphone i cannot control the music from the remote, only from phone ie play, skip track etc
The OLED only displays the time and thats frozen to the time that i put the headset in.
Sometimes if i plugged it in whiile phone is still turned on the Walkman symbol will just flash.

I really would like to get this working as its a bane to constantly take out my phone when i want to control the music.

Thanks in advance

Sorry just to add my phone is running R1FA035
and if its any help:
When i originally got the phone i didn't like the O2 icons and stuff so i flashed the phone using the DaVinci Team software to bring the phone to normal.

Have you test the HPM90 with other SE phone (your friends phone maybe?)

Imo it should work on any 'new' SE phone, or simply check HPM90 device compatibility from It's official site.

i've got similar problem with a hpm-90 with a c902

1. Cant see what is being played on the LED display
2. HPM-90 Constantly connects and disconnects from the phone
3. Sound only in 1 Earphone.

It seems only to work with Walkman phones when it doesn't have a Walkman Logo on them.

I have the problem of HPM90 + K850 too. When I first got it in November (with the original firmwire) it worked fine. But as soon as I updated it, the display doesn't work at all. And 70% of the time, neither the controls!

It really pisses me off, I payed a lot of money for a headset to get this display and controls, but it doesn't work for almost a year now...

Hi guys just an update on my K850i and HPM 90 problems.

Things have improved a bit.

When i plug it in. My phone takes upto a minute to recognise the HPM - 90s presence. Once it does i have to use the phone and go into media player and play a track. Once thats playing i can control the media player fine.

Still noting shows up on the OLED screen such as track name, artist etc only the play, stop, track forward/back icons when i hit the relevant buttons.

Still an improvement but not whole heartedly.

To Groove Peppy: SE website states that the K850i is indeed compatible with this phone
To Cormac who asked my phone software revision see my original post.

I have the same problem with my W960... I tried it also on my girlfriends S500i but same story, no song/artist shown.

Both phones running latest firmware.
Did anyone find a solution for this?

Anyone tried it with a walkman phone? It may be only for walkman phones though.
