As you allready know (from my last post) I have an unbranded SE w890i and now it is giving me some serious problems. I use this phone for my work also and I talk about 40-60 mins a day and sometimes I just lost the call. I mean, when I make a call, after a few minutes of talking, the call is lost. The signal appears to be fine - it shows full strength. I tought that the other persons phone is the problem but I also have problems when I'm calling other people like my girlfriend or someone else..I have my old k750i and I never had calling issues like this before. I tought that maybe my SIM-card /network has problems but this isn't the case because i'm on orange network and my company is on vodafone. And also I need to mention that, when I send text messsages, sometimes i get the error "message delivery failed. Retry?" I have some messages that are still in my outbox (undelivered messages) and I cannot send them from there..I click on the "send now" and nothing happens.
I really need to know..is there a problem with my phone? Should I send it back to the shop? When I bought it, I had no problems like this. Maybe I didn't used it so much like I use it now. I don't know. This happened just lately. I disabled the 3g network from the day I bought it because I tought that maybe this will solve my issue but it didn't..also, I still have the little "E" icon near the signal bars..why do I have that? I mean..I'm in GSM only mode. Could this be the problem? How do I disable that? Sorry for my dummie questions but I really don't know what else to try..

From your description it does sound to me as though it is faulty. Before sending it back you could try using the update service on the

website to update the software on the phone to the latest version. If it still has the faults after that then I would take it back to where you bought it and get it repaired under warrenty.

I tried to update the firmware version via SEUS but when I get to the update section, it says that I already have the latest version. My phone has the R1EA033 software version. Is this really the latest?
I just hope that my phone is not faulty because I bought this phone from an online-market (about 500km from my place) and it would be difficult to send it back..and to get it back also..can you please tell me what that little "E" icon is near the signal strength bar? Can I disable that?

i have not used the phone in question...but i guess E stands for edge(Enhanced GPRS).
im not sure at all.and if it is its basically a faster data transmitter to the web than GPRS.

Could it be that this EDGE thing causes troubles with my calls? I can't disable it, can I? I just tried to send an sms text mesaage to my girlfriend and it was unsuccessful..it landed in my outbox folder. I have full signal strength... I don't know what else to try.
Please guys, help me out with this :|

maybe you activated something. try to look from settings, data communication, sms access and preferred service. they should be circuit switched and PS & CS.

I have similar problems with MMS on my O2 branded K800i with messages. Quite often with full 3G signal or GSM i get sending error messages try again but it never sends. I then have to try hours later. Could be combination of network and phone problems.

I tried everything but the problem is still here..I can't text everytime I want, I can call but sometimes when I want to make a call, when I'm trying to call a number, the call just ends without any notice. It is really weird. I think I tried everything, first thing I will do today is to call the shop and tell'em about my problem. I need to send it back to the shop and they will send it to the SE service I guess..hopefully they will fix the problem.
