I am using Garmin XT but am currently very dissapointed with it's performance and am looking to change.
what is the best sat nav for my symbian phone ??

Basicly it gets confused driving down straight roads and then is "unable to calculate route" after previously calculating it fine
it is a sim free phone running the generic OS
(i had to flash it and reinstsall the OS as it was a vodafone and i'm on virgin)

On my N95 I use Tomtom. Normally you cant use the internal GPS with tomtom but there is now a patch on the net that get around that.
I tried Garmin but found that it didnt like roandabouts (told me to turn left at every single roundabout) and even though I told it to use miles it worked everything out in kilometers (it would I was doing 80MPH when I was doing 50MPH)

I use TomTom navigator 6 on my P1 and have the Traffic and Speed (sorry) Safety camera add ons, it very occasionally gets lost in rural Finland (Who doesn't) But it is a great product its onboard maps are really great I use this with a HOLUX M1200.
I also use Wayfinder on my W960 it is also a good product and I love the fact I can pre set destinations through the "myWayfinder" web site this makes planning a trip to see the sights of Rome very simple and it works really well in its pedestrian mode I tend to use Wayfinder with a Sony Ericsson GPS enabling headset if only it had downloadable maps and a decent speed cam / traffic application.
The perfect system would allow me the PC planning abilities of the Wayfinder system with the onboard maps and the speed cam and traffic system of TomTom navigator.
which I believe is exactly what the Latest Wayfinder system offers!! and that is the one I don't own and I do not need three systems
On balance I prefer the Tom Tom set up, the fact it is an onbord system is much less of a hassle when abroad and keeps costs lower and the speed camera pack and traffic pack are really outstanding the wayfinder offering often allowed me to pass cameras without warning

I have been using Tom Tom for along time now so it is my first choice it worked perfectly on my N95 8GB when i had it although i use an external GPS receiver as i have one and it gives better results IMO.
I still use Tom Tom on my current device with an external receiver as find this works best and only if Tom Tom don't release any further versions will i be forced to look at another solution.

I use mostly Garmin on my P990 and P1 because it has the most recent maps for my region. Another option for my P1 is Sygic Drive which is actually pretty good but Garmin has more overall coverage, P990's memory can't handle Sygic.
I've stopped using TomTom because their maps are over 2 years old.
