Hey guys, first post and yes i'm sorry its a question
Just wondering 2 things really!
I have a t68m but upgraded to the t68i software (R6A) and want to display the area code underneith my operator name on the front screen. I know this is possible coz when i put my girlfriends vodafone sim card in the phone it dislays but with my orange sim card it doesn't??? Any ideas?
Secondly, i want to enable delivery reports but the menu doesn't appear to be enabled with my sim card in the phone but again with my girlfriends sim card the menu is available?? weird huh?
So can anyone help??
Thanks in advance

welcome 2 esato!
1. i don't know for sure as i don't have a vodafone/orange sim but maybe it is a feature of vodafone to show the area code.

both Cellinformation (Messages -> Area info -> Cellinformation) and Delivery reports are network specific services.... meaning you network provider can decide if the services should be available or not.

spot on - orange doesn't supports 'cell info display' - voda use it as they had a talkplan where u get local calls cheaper within and around the same 'cell' or dialling code area. Call orange and ask for a sim update - delivery reports will then appear on the handset

If your orange sim hasn`t been updated by Orange to give delivery reports, then just put the letters RCT at the begining of the message with a one space gap ie, RCT Hello mate i`m sen.......
For o2 use *0# but with an o2 sim the deliv report menu should appear in th phone.
Post code info (cell info) is sent by the mast your using for your signal at any given time so if you know what calls will be charged as local as you move in and out of landline area code areas, it`s only for tarrifs that offer local rates.
