I got a T29 flash cable (being sold as T68 data cable), and am unable to use it even after modifying it (Pin 9 opened, Pin 7 moved to Pin 5 and Pin 6 moved to Pin 4). Using hyperteminal, it doesn't reply to an at command. It uses the MAX231 chipset. Any suggestions? Am I missing something, COM port config etc...??

and try floats mobile agent. its i think the simplest program to use for checking fone-pc communication (after configuring its comport), and besides its sms is much faster that pbtm. you can also upload themes, tones, etc with fma. good luck

nope, very straight forward w/ FMA. Just set to the com-port you have connected the cable. and just make sure there aren't any other communication programs running on the background (or TSRs) using the same COM port you had configured for FMA

So fma worked with your original cable conversion? Re the SE programs, try uninstalling then re-installing them This post was posted from a T68i

Yes FMA worked, but I am unable to upload images. It just says error uploading the file. Will try reinstalling SE Image editor. I had converted the image to bmp using SE Image editor, and tried uploading with FMA.
