> k850 problem

My phone started freaking out this past Saturday. The "select" button is being activated at random when I press different numbers on the keypad. At times it activates itself. What would be the cause of this? My only guess is somehow the keypad is dirty but I'm not sure how to go about cleaning this or trying to correct it.
Is there a new "k" model to be released soon or is the new SE the c905?

There's a problem with your K850? Wow, that's news! Ehehe...sorry, just had to do that. I've never had one so can't help you in that dept, but the K-series will no longer represent the Cybershot brand and yes, C905 is the next big thing for SE. Let's all hope it lives up to the hype. It's looking promising so far with the exception of the sad video record.

ha.. I know. I normally post one of these threads with every SE phone I get. As much as I expect them to fail on me I still like buying them. The only problem is I didn't think it would happen this soon. I've had the phone for about 5 months. They usually last me about a year and I don't think I'm ready to shell out another 400-500 bucks just yet. I imagine the c905 will be upwards of $600 and not available for another several months. *sigh*

a couple of options, dirty keyboard, simply open the case and try to clean it up.. or some problem with contacts on the keyboard, then you cant do anything about it, only service.. and last thing can be the software problem..

The touch select button? Hm, I've no idea how that could be happening...I've got a K850 and have had 0 problems as long as I've owned it! Maybe I am just lucky? XD XD
