Searched the forums but can't find any info regarding Globe's SMS gateway address.

I have an email account that I could set to send an SMS alert everytime I get a new email. I won't be able to use that feature unless I set the correct gateway address.

Before, I use Globexplore.com.ph to automatically alert me of new emails. Now that it's replaced with Globe XTM, how is this done now?

I appreciate any help. Thanks!

If you register with Globe XTM, don't you receive notification when your XTM mailbox receives mail?

Thanks for the reply senninha.

Actually, I haven't tested nor registered in Globe XTM. I didn't want to use it since emails and long sms sent via XTM is not part of my free cap and I will be charged PhP1.00

I guess I should really consider registering and check if I would get alerts from it.

Thanks again.

OK. Tried it but guess what guys...

I tried sending an email from my yahoo account and I didn't receive a SMS alert. Checking GlobeXTM inbox, I did receive the email.

Now here's the funny thing. I tried replying to the email via GlobeXTM and seconds later I received a SMS alert that goes like this:

From: 2985
Your message has successfully been sent via email.

What I like is to receive SMS alert whenever I get new mails in my inbox and *not* whenever I send an email.

That's really strange, although I must say that the few times I've tried XTM, it was hit or miss. Once, the message went through really quickly, but the other time, it never went through at all.

I figured that if I was going to send email from my mobile, I'd just use Yahoo instead. More reliable and free of charge!

@seninnha: thats exactly the reason why i'm after the gateway. I dont like to use xtm coz i already have an account accessible via wap. Plus it could alert me of new emails. :) @mikes511: whats chika? Any url? Tnx This post was posted from a T68i

OK. Got it solved...

Apparently, Globexplore was "upgraded" to MyGlobe. The service can also be configured to automatically send a SMS alert whenever one receives new emails. So I guess I'll just have to set my email account to send an email to my MyGlobe account and *hopefully*, I would be alerted of new emails. Unfortunately, MyGlobe only allots a WHOPPING 2Mb of storage for emails!

Thanks for the help guys!
