ok ive set my PC according to http://reviews.cnet.com/Make_[....]spot/4660-10165_7-6754630.html
and my phones detects my hot spot but when i connect my phone asks for settings.
these are what i gave.
account name and SSID same as the one on pc
security-shared WEP
network mode-Ad hoc
ad hoc-channel 11
but when i open opera and enter a site i get "could not locate remote server"

I had the same problems with when trying to use Bluetooth PAN in the beginning... Solved now. Just try adjusting the parameters and give a little attention at the PC's firewall. It may cause problems like this.

P.S. Also check if you have enabled connection sharing...
