I have a W910i and have quite a few videos and pictures I want to keep private - especially as I'll be moving back in to my parents house soon until we find our own place in the area.
I've tried putting these in the 'others' folder, but the 'Media' section still finds them and displays them. In case anyone hasn't noticed, 'Media' also has a shortcut to it on the main screen so anyone could access it easy.

Is there a safe way of keeping this media files private? They would be ok in a folder like 'others' because no one would think of going there, but like I said, 'Media' is right there saying 'PRESS ME' on the main screen!

Any ideas? Or do I simply have to just delete them?

I bet hes got loadsa porn!
I find Mobyexplorer or MiniCommander is better. These apps let u change the file attributes so u can hide files and directories and also write protect then as well.

Well I wouldn't say porn, but definitely 'private' things lol

Do these programs stop the 'Media' from accessing them and showing them?

Just got that 'filelock' app - works really good! Shame you have to go into it, unlock what you want to see, go back out to the file to view then go back to the app to lock them again - but it works so I'm not complaining!

Thanks!

Same problem with me last month but i choose minicommander to zip those files.
I still wonder is there any java app that can lock folder? Just like folderlock on xp? That would throw the shame of going back and forth the process....

...on se g900,files - images etc..do not appear in the 'media' browser,IF the images are placed in the 'other folder'.
but in the w910 it believe it does find everything anywhere..
the above advice is good information..
