> k850i Profile bug
Bookmark topic
Hi,
I have a weird problem with the "Accept call from" list in profiles. This is a feature I rely on greatly in all SE phones since over 2 years.
Now in k850i if my accept call list goes to over 6 or 7 numbers, it gets corrupted and busy tones get sent to numbers even on accept list. and then if I view the list it will look something like:
Home
Wife
Wife
Wife
Wife
Wife
Wife
Except the first, all other numbers get replaced by one of the list. I updated to latest Software released in July end and still this problem persists.
Anyone heard of it? Solutions?
Any Official SE forums I could submit to?
Thanks in advance.

When does this happen? When does the list get corrupted? When the phone reboots? If you reset it?
I have the latest firmware, but even when I first got the phone, I've never had this issue...and it's on all of my profiles.

The first signs of trouble start when I add names to the Accept Only list after 5 or 6. The addition of the names becomes sluggish. But the list looks fine. All entries are distinct. Then I exit out of the Profile setting assuming all is fine. But when one of my Accept contacts calls up ... the phone says Busy tone sent ... and when I go to look at the list, its corrupted like I wrote up.
There are no restarts involved.
I tried to restart phone after saving the list but before activating profile in the hope that the list would get finally saved perfectly. On restart, list looks fine but the minute I get a call from one of the legit contacts, the phone sends busy tone and I can ten see list corrupted.

Try this. Go into phonebook and create groups (each group may contain 10 phone numbers). Add the relevant numbers into each group.
eg.
Family
Wife
Colleagues
Now go back to Accept call list and add these groups.
Maybe this would solve the problem

Probably a master reset may help. Not sure though... Use My Phone Explorer to backup all data and give it a try...

Thanks for the replies. The master reset has not helped. I am begnning to feel the 850 is flawed.
The groups I am trying out. I have so far got 1 group of 9 in Accept list and its working. I will experiment more in my free time.
