So right i have narrowed it down to these two phones, and i have a few questions.

1. Which of these two phones have the best sound quality (i listen to mostly heavy and most types of metal?
2. Which of these have the best bass outputs? I wont be using the stock headphones i have a nice pair of EP-630 to use.
3. Do they have a custom equalizer?
4. Which has the image quality from the cameras?
5. Can i use these as USB modems as in can i connect to the internet from my PC via the phone
6. Pros and Cons

facts mate:

5610 has a dedicated audio chip, w760 has none
w760 has megaBASS, a trademark from Sony
5610 camera has AF and takes crisp photos, w760 fixed focus cam
w760 headset is a LOT LOT better than what is bundled with 5610
w760 runs A200 UI of which is an eye candy multi tasking platform
Equalisers in w760 cannot be customized but they are implemented better than 5610's

for an AF camera phone, 5610 pictures doesn't looked good to me. the pictures looked overprocessed, the smudges and pimped colors are basically nokia's way of imaging. while W760 have also smudges with it;s images, thinking that 5610 is AF-enabled which suggest more advanced module used the quality of images should be much better.

I would say get the w760. The A200 is much better than s40 of 5610. While the loudspeaker volume of 5610 is louder than w760, throu headphones w760 sounds better, if you like bass surely your gona love it.
As said, 5610's got af while w760's not. Since i havent seen w760's camera performance i cannot say which one give out better colour....but from my experience, i Think w760 might win over.

Also w760 got motion sensor+gps and a cooler design.

Both phones are good, but i would pick up w760. Since its walkman application is much much better.

I would normally choose Nokia but will say one thing against it. That phones has poor build quailty as i played with one in an O2 store. Its slider is wobbly plus i read reports about it.

I don't know about 5610. But w760 is better imo! Bec it has better java platform for multitasking(you can minimize the app to the background not in nokia(you can't minimize the java mp3 player.etc)) it supports cool flash themes, and menu layout. Cam is not good as it doesn't have AF. It has stereo speakers. In 5610 i'm sure i got to stick with the factory set of drivers whereas in w760 you can change the audio,cam,disp drivers if some mod tool support comes. Of course flash themes too.

I wont be using the suppled headset, ill use a 2.5mm to 3.5mm adapter. So what one would give me the best audio quality overall? Oh and does this not have a customizable equalizer?

As for the camera ill be using it at night as well so i need flash something that the w760 doesn't have, and the actual camera software isn't that good from what i have seen.

I don't care much for the motion sensing nor the GPS since my primary form of transport is the buses (being 16 sucks lol)

So overall what phone has the best sound quality?

1. ones with audio chip ones with not. imo 5610 trumps w760 easily. also 5610 is alot louder compared to this walkman
2. i prefer 5610 rich bass compared to a muggy megabass.
3. both have preinstalled equaliser and both can be tweak.
4. 5610 has a 3.2mpx AF and led flash. it uses the same module as 6500 slide which i had. which is very good IMO. w760 is fixfocus 2mpx cam
5. yes on both


i suggest to try them both at store before you buy your choice. imo 5610 is a better choice for the price it offer.

After 5 Sony's in a row.. I tried the W760i, it seemed like a good phone (volume was crap, and lets face it metal was made loud to be played loud!), but i had Sennheiser headset, so they boosted volume... but 2 handsets later, due to stuttering playback, i reluctantly got me a blokia.. (N95 8GB) and.. well music playback is louder and doesn't stutter.. Don't get me wrong, i wanted to love the W760i, but after 2 replaced handsets, due to stuttering sound, and a crap camera (no focus!!) my W800i still performs better, and that in itself should be a damning enough statement!! Hate to say it, buy the blokia..
