HI all,

sorry if this question is a little generic. I did a search on the forums and couldn't find an answer to this.

I hear about SIM Locked phones all the time. I know mine is. It's an AT&T T68i.

Question :

Is the lock on the SIM or is the PHONE itself locked to the carrier?

I know there are many ways to get the phone unlocked, a friend of mine said that I can actually call AT&T and tell them i want to sell my phone and they can unlock it? Can anyone confirm this?

There is a lock in the phone set by AT&T it has nothing to do with the sim card it self.

Yes if you phone up your network operator then they should be able to provide the appropriate code to unlock your phone (if needed)
