Guys yesterday I got my 2nd N82 black. Fast one (N82 black bought 1.5 months ago) I sold for some personal reason. 2nd N82’s box says, product of august 2008. And it’s really very different built quality than older one. Keypad cranky sound is gone; D-pad is more secure and well placed. Keypad little bit hard but easy to press and final improvement on camera shutter it’s really very smooth and quick (if you press little bit then it open by itself looks to me used very good spring mechanism and its definitely better than previous one). Every time I use this one I fell it’s another phone, not N82. Maybe they changed some inside of phone, who knows. So if you going to buy new one then looks for product of august or later. Any way, it is Made by Nokia, Made in china.
Can anyone ensure that?

I bought mine on Saturday at the Nokia Flagship Store in Regent Street. Mine's made in Finland. Haven't got the box with me to hand to check maufacturing date etc, but it feels really solid. I'm loving this phone.

Adnan:

Let's see some pics of your Black Beauty to see if anything looks different with the materials used on the new batch of N82s.

@Dextrr:
Its look same to older one but IMO when you hold it in your hand you feel something used cheap material than older one; I mean around main body not cover. I haven’t my digicam right now with me; I’ve left that on my grandmother’s house by mistake. But I can ensure you that, its look exactly same as before.
@Bonovox:
If you are in UK then you’ll find made in Finland, and Made in Finland phones is always better than Made in China because, the Nokia Company of China doesn’t try to check or maintain the quality of product.

obviously manufacturers will try and make improvements as production wears on.....

its exactly like software updates. only with build quality.
