What are ALL the ways you get the CID 53 besides SEUS? I want to make sure not to accidently let that happen again now that i've got a clean slate with another phone.

Really? Just just those two? Great, thanks.
One more thing for anyone. How are phones locked? I want to make sure not to do that too. Currently i have a k800i with CID49 if it matters. It has the original software and ill be updating that and the camera drivers, because at the moment, the pictures look pretty nasty.
Thanks in advance.

Use XS++ to update it to CID52 and you can have many available patches as well as drivers

Yeah use this tutorial to flash it to newest CID52 firmware:

DO NOT make it CID53. It is not good trust me. And if your phone is patch unlocked by some reason you will get it locked and you won't be able to unlock it for free... Just upgrade to CID52 when connected to XS++ - Flash the phone with CID52 firmware (MAIN, FS and custpacks) downloaded from
www.4shared.com or
www.se-nse.com and you shouuld be fine.
If you get the "insert correct SIM card" error after flashing - get a locked phone you just need to do following...
First download the "Simlock patch generator" from
www.4shared.com.
Generate a patch with the MAIN file you used to flash your phone with. Then you just folow this tutorial to apply that patch file to your phone and you are done.
