I don't know much about TFT and LCD in detail but can tell you that W810 has display equiped with light sensor which regulates the brightness according to the light conditions of the environment you are currently in. That feature lacks on K550...

TFT means Thin Film Transistor and is the norm these days for most screens. Its also i think the brightest. Sorry i have forgotten TFD i might be wrong it could be the D meaning Diode. Not sure. Look on google
