FRANKFURT (Reuters) - Sony's (6758.T) joint venture with cell phone maker Ericsson (ERICb.ST) must do better, Sony's chief executive was quoted as saying by a German newspaper on Wednesday.

Well, it seems Mr. Stringer is indeed rethinking Sony Ericsson.
'We have to work together again as we did two years ago. Or the joint venture will have to find its own solution," Stringer said'
It seems things really are a tad divided right now!

At least Sony's chief executive can see SE are going down the wrong path. He has hit the nail on the head with saying we must work together like we did two years ago. Since then SE havent been innovative, and their quality has always been second best or lower.

@Soane28
Agreed all the way - with Hideki San at the helm, former head of the VAIO arm at Sony - decisions will be Sony Orientated from now, I feel as much anyhow - which is good.
Plus, Stringer and Komiyama are already well acquainted from Komiyama's past work with Sony Corp!

If I'm not wrong Mr Flint is from Sony too, just look what he did done with SE..
Hope Mr Hideki can clean up all misses from Mr Flint.
from 8.9% marketshare down to 7.5 marketshare it's not that good.

Good news things might change for the better. Though many moons ago before SE was it not cos both Sony and Ericsson doing bad in the phones market that brought them together. Or am i wrong.
