I bought a used T68 (european if it matters) from a friend that I had recently flashed to a T68i. I have cingular (SoCal) and I just recently added the wireless web to my phone. Problem is, I can't get on the web. Sorry if this was covered before, but I hope that somebody can help.

You are probably trying to access regular web sites and not wap sites which are specifically designed for access via mobile phones.

Well, I was trying to access the esato [wap] web site, and it won't let me. Stupid question, but does the phone have a dial up connection or something? I mean, when I try to log on to the web, it dials a number, and tells me that the connection failed.

Ok, I tried wap.esato.com. The phone shows that it's dialing this number, then connecting, then failed. Is it because that the number that it's dialing is the wrong number than what Cingular phones were pre-programmed with?

I'm not 100% sure, but it sounds like your WAP/GPRS settings are wrong. You should call Cingular tech support and have them walk you through all the right settings.

So you think that the fact that I have a Non-Cingular/out of country phone could be the cause for the wrong wap settings?
