Ive finally had enough with SE, this is my 4th or 5th phone to break with in a year of me owning it, and when im paying 700 dollars for a phone (k850) i expect it to last longer. First my K800 died on me and wouldnt turn on so then i got a k550 to use just until the k850 came out, i got that and after not even 4 months the one button wouldnt work, i really had to press it down and hope that it would work. Then i finally got the K850 and now every time i press the '5' button it acts as if im pressing back and the same goes for when i press down on the d pad. Its so annoying. My wife also had a S500 which also broke, i actually recommended that same phone to a new mobile user and he complains about how poorly its made and certain buttons wont work.
My wife now just has a K770 and i have a broke K850.
Im originally from england but now live in america and its not as easy as it is in england just to take your phone into the store where i got it from and they fix it, i have to send it back to SE and to be honest its ridiculous. There are no real good phones out here for cheap and with the 3G i phone at just $300 id be crazy not to get it, but i dont want it because everyone has one. But Apple actually have really good service and their phone is really good. I dont care about a decent camera anymore on a phone i just want the internet. But i know that i am def not getting another SE again. I have used them for many many years and this is the last time i will use the, Their standards have really slipped in my opinion.

Good luck mate! Tried some Nokias?? Still an SE fan.. but I've been using Nokias for over four years now. - just because SE does not offer what I need. And with the quality levels dropping.. i'm getting doubtful ..

Well i have alerted esato members about poor quality of products, lack of competitive,Repetitive & overpriced products from SE back in 2007.But many Member at esato claimed that to be pessimistic, Nowdays u can come across several threads of disappoinment like this at esato, other forums & blogs. The spirit & confidence in SE is continously diminishing even among die hard SE fans.SE has totally messed up the game. They have never managed to bring up a good high smartphone in recent years, which is totally strange.Their flagship K850 turned out to be misery for many with poor implementation, and the supposedly walkman W910 also turned out to be erroneous, and was not up too standards.
I suggest u look at Nokia N85 for ur next phone which is better in web browsing with flash & java support.Camera/video & other capabilities, Built upon best selling N95 series with updated software & better overall functionality with slimmer & compact dimensions

thanks guys for your replies, im just so disappointed with them, i have used them before they were even a joint venture, i had an ericsson and a sony phone, and finally had enough.

Im looking at the HTC Touch Diamond and the Samsung Omnia, i saw the N85 but when is that out? i need a phone within the next 2 weeks, this K850 is driving me crazy. I was also thinking of the N96

Well that's ok then. Actually I have been using several phones and none of them dissapointed me. So I will stay with them.

The problem is that switched from a high/mid end company to a mid/low company in the recent years. I thought the mid/low adjective was restrictive to features with but apparently the built quality is just not as good anymore. To make it worse they r gonna cut down R&D next year... is destined to become a low end company filled with hundreds of so-so “walkman“ phones with outdated cameras and poor software/hardware. It“s a shame.
