Does anyone know how long a foreign car can be in the uk without having to register it, and pay road tax.
Only, my manager is french, and his car is registered in switzerland, but he still has foreign plates, and no road tax. He has been here for 9 months.

Can you report anyone for this, ie Police, Customs for not payment, or would they not be that bothered about it.

I'm sure DVLA has a line for people to report people not paying road tax etc, but whether people would I don't know. I guess there are always buys-bodies around!
of course, I guess he wouldn't want to get stopped by the police since the onus of proof is on him
