> G502 slow flash wallpaper
Bookmark topic
I got my new G502 last week and i absolutely love it! I have one problem though.
When i set a flash wallpaper as 'wallpaper' (standby homescreen) its VERY choppy and slow, it looks like crap. But if i set the wallpaper as a screen saver it runs at full speed and looks great? Flash performance in the new media centre is also nice and quick.
I never had this problem with my previous phone (W610i), flash speed was the same on both homescreen and screensaver.
Is this a problem with all new A200 phones? Might this be fixed in a future firmware?

Does it act like that with all flash wallpapers or with a specific one? Try setting flash wallpaper with smaller filesize and resolution.

Yep, all flash wallpapers act in the same way.
I have tried it with 176*220 wallpapers from my w610i, these run much quicker than the 240*320 ones, but they are still notacibly slower on the homescreen when compared to the screen saver.

Do you have latest firmware version on your phone?

Hmm then may be some sort of bug of the new 3150 platform the phone is using... Not sure though.

flash files set as wallpaper normally run slower cause the phone has to overlay the texts and icons (like the softkeys or the operator name)on it

But why run faster on some phones (as mentioned above)?

I got the same issues like chancooluk....
They only played it well if you set them as screensaver...
