I got the absolutely latest firmware... and it's been working acceptable for 2 months except 2 MAJOR problems..
1. Now and then calls go straight to voicemail... Wtf?!!! I don't even hear a single ring or anything before it's to late.
2. I sometimes recieve sms that was sent a day before or sometimes even earlier!
I'm happy I don't use this as my office phone as it would mean a total disaster! These things NEVER happens to my reliable HTC S710....
Any ideas on how to fix these annoying issues?
On a sidenote: I always make sure to have enough free ram by shutting down apps I'm not using with swiss manager pro.

Sounds like the network is dropping out.
Could be the handset, your provider, or the SIM. You could check the later was well seated and tight in the slot.

Does not sound like the phone my tip is on the provider or the SIM. I would exchange the SIM first.

I often use this sim in my HTC S710 without any problems. It only happens when I use it in my P990... can it be the sim slot then?

Probably not... trying switching the sims for a day, and see how things work... or try a different phone replacing the p990 for a while and see. My p990 has not problems like this, and a text message appears instantly.
