NOTE: This is only for Globe users in the Philippines.

To access free Internet browsing using Globe, follow the steps below.

1. Download and install Opera Mini mod v2.06 or any other mod versions of Opera Mini 2.00 like v2.04 andd v2.05
2. Open Opera Mini then go to Menu>Tools>Settings>Network
3. Put a check on the box that is labeled "Shadow connect"
4. Enter "http://www.globe.com.ph/globe.asp" on the textbox labeled "The address to connect"
5. Put a check on the box labeled "Check time-out for connections"
6. Enter "120" on the textbox labeled "Time[s]"
7. Leave the checkbox labeled "Additional" unchecked
8. Leave the textboxes labeled "Server", "Port", "Username" and "Password" blank
9. Enter "3g.myglobe.com.ph@server.operamini.com:80" on the Opera Mini server textbox
10. Uncheck the box labeled "Reset of a server at an error"
11. Leave the other settings without changing it then save the changes

Make sure that you have a working GPRS connection on your phone. You can use myGlobe CONNECT or myGlobe INET for this one. Anyway, start browsing and that's it. It's for FREE! Even if you have load, it will not charge you for the browsing. It works perfectly on my Sony Ericsson K800i. Thanks for reading this post. Have a nice day!

I just tried setting up the free internet through globe 3G.. pero hindi po nagwowork.. Nag-eerror po palagi (Error 403). Help naman po..

BTW, kailangan po ba may 3G signal?

@funchumm: Ok lang kahit walang 3G signal as long as nakakaconnect ka sa GPRS. Anong Internet profile gamit mo? myGlobe CONNECT ang gamitin mo, ung may APN na www.globe.com.ph then double-check mo lang ung network settings ulet ng Opera Mini. Pero ganito na lang para sigurado, delete mo lahat ng Internet profiles sa phone mo then redownload mo ung settings sa www.sonyericsson.com/support then after doing it, reconfigure mo lang ung network settings ng Opera Mini. You can try using the following Opera Mini Servers aside from 3g.myglobe.com.ph@80.232.117.10:80.

wap.amob.com@80.232.117.10:80
wap.igma.tv@80.232.117.10:80

At first time setup, mejo mahirap makaconnect pero pag nareach mo na ung Terms and Conditions page eh ok na un. Pag nagkaroon ng ng Russian links sa Opera Mini mo eh it means ok na.

Most of my friends have opera mini installed on their phones (due to my influence ) and surprisingly almost lahat sila naka globe kaya they managed to take advantage of the P5/15min promo ng globe. actually most of them uses their phone as modem for their laptops. asar kasi hindi libre WiFi access dito sa school

@razec: Hehehe, ganon ba? Anong version ba ng Opera Mini ginagamit nyo? Dapat mod versions para makapaginternet kau sa phone ng libre. You just need to configure the network settings. By the way, did you try to configure you're phone by following the steps on my post?
