I'm due for an upgrade phone, and cannot decide between these two models.

I have done a lot of reading about both... and they seem great. Equally great. I prefer the looks of the w890i, but the specs of the w760i.

One question I cannot answer with these online reviews...

Which model is sturdiest? Which is less likely to break upon dropping? I am really clumsy and need a phone that is strong and built to last.

PS: which of these two is the quickest for navigating through the menus? I get really annoyed when there is a half-second delay after pressing a button. Which will be able to process my commands quickest?

Its best to choose spec over looks, the w890 would surive being dropped better, im not sure how strong the w760 slider is it would probley break quite easily.

+1 for the W890.

There are some concerns over signal reception with this phone but I have yet to have any major issues with reception. The style is superb with it being so super-slim and even the 3mp camera, although not autofocus, gives impressive shots in well lit conditions.

+1 here for the W760i.

IMO it looks more stylish than the W890i, but then again i really like slider phones.

W760i has the new A200 (?) [is that right?] platform.

The camera on it doesnt have flash or auto focus, but it takes some good pictures.

Shake control is also an interesting feature and Need For Speed game is really good with the tilt control.

Personally for me the W760i wins hands down.

If you like cheap,horrible feeling plastic, get the W760i. It feels like a babies toy in real life.
The W890i is much stronger, and looks a lot better.

Plus I like beans on toast.

i, too, like slider phones... but after owning the w850i (which i loved, it is seriously indestructible) and then testing out the w580i - i can't help but think the build quality has dropped. The w580i feels terrible... so plasticky.

By the sounds of the replies I'm now more edging towards the w890i. Will report back when I go shopping tomorrow for the final choice.

I like slider more. Besides it has bigger screen, and also better color reproduction too.
